Yando has been singing since he can remember thanks to his musically inclined parents who passed on their love of singing. He was involved in the Miami Children's Choir from a very young age and was able to perform with the Florida Grand Opera as a result.
Yando has taken many trips to the Big Apple with his family and remembers his first broadway show being Miss Saigon at the tender age of three. Yes, his parents are still crazy. Even still, he grew to love theatre and everything he saw on stage.
After high school Yando decided to make the move to Chicago to attend Northwestern University in Evanston, IL to study engineering. Eventually, he transferred over to the musical theatre program knowing that that was where his passion lied.
Yando has been out of school almost 2 years now and has had the great fortune of working at the Paramount Theatre, Chicago Children's Theatre, the Black Ensemble Theater, Porchlight Music Theatre and most recently Brown Paper Box Co.
Adjusting to the weather has been completely worth it for him. Chicago is such a great city to be in for theatre and he's excited for what's to come!
